After you read this book you will realize that absorption of the foods you eat is so important. Digestion in the stomach is only about 50% efficient, in the sml. intestine again about 50%. Therefore, you only get about 25% of what you eat. That is why it is best to eat small meals, many times per day, and chew your food well.

Without becoming hypochondriacs or weird,it is logical to conclude that in...contemporary eating manners,we neglect the importance of chewing...
We almost chew the food 2-3 times & then we...swallow it.
That puts our stomachs in ...overdive.
Insufficient chewing & bad quality food may well be the root of most evils in our stomachs...
We should not...stomach it anymore.
It is easy to live a healthier lifestyle.

Chewing is very important. Years ago the "Skinner Method" advised chewing your food 22 times. Also, there is a lot od assimilation that occurs in the mouth. We have become a nation of Gulpers, swallowing our food. This needs to change.

INTERESTING UPDATE...!!!

I tried to chew 22 times.

I realised that our tongue has subconsciously "learned "to act as a..." conveyor belt " & push the food towards the pharynx...
So,we have to re-learn how to chew,by..."deactivating "that "belt "& ..."tumbling " the food in our mouth,to perform 22 chews.

Just a change of habits.

Right now,we..."shove "almost unchewed food down to our stomachs.

That's (probably ) why we have so many "heartburns " & dyspepsia.

If we chewed properly, our food would be more liquified, and easier to begin its digestion in the stomach. What we have now is poor digestion, and flatulence.

What worries me is how little we know about our Digestive Process. What is of even greater concern is that our medical professionals also have limited knowledge. That is one reason I would recommend reading this book.
