-1975 - PEOPLE WERE SO FREE AND HAPPY INSIDE / OUTSIDE OF THEMSELVES WITH NO TENSION IN THE AIR. 

I LOVED THOSE MOMENTS - KIND OF SPIRITUAL-LIKE. 

I’M SQUATTING BY THE SIDE DOOR IN THE FAMOUS GOLDS GYM ON PACIFIC AVE, JUST 80 STEPS FROM THE PACIFIC OCEAN, OBSERVING THE MASTERS OF THE GAME - ARNOLD "THE OAK", DENNY, WALLER, ZANE, COLUMBU AND BIRDSONG. 

WATCHING THEM GET INTO THEIR WORKOUTS WAS AN AMAZING SIGHT. I HAD A SMILE ON MY FACE AS I OBSERVED THEM PUMPING IRON.

I WANTED TO GET INTO THE FIRE -

I WANTED SOME OF THAT. 

AFTER BEING ASKED TO JOIN THEM, A SENSATION OF SKITTISHNESS OVERWHELMED ME. 

MY BARE FEET ON THE COOL CEMENT FLOOR WAS INTOXICATING. 

IT SEEMS AS IF IT WAS JUST YESTERDAY... 

THAT ONE MOMENT WHEN THEY INVITED ME INTO THEIR INTER-CIRCLE ENCOURAGED ME TO ACHIEVE LEGENDARY STATUS IN THE ART OF BODYBUILDING. 

THE MAIN REASON TO SET GOALS IS TO BECOME THE PERSON IT TAKES TO ACHIEVE THEM
